•  How was food obtained, prepared, and served?
•  What was the role of food? What was the role of wine?

Entertainment

•  What were the common forms of entertainment?
•  What sports existed?
•  What games were played? What toys did they have?
•  What art forms did they have?

Government

•  What made a person a Roman? a non-Roman?
•  How did the government and legal system function?
•  How was crime handled? What kinds of punishment were used?
•  What was the election process?

Daily Life

•  Where did they live? How did they live?
•  What were the family roles?
•  What were teens like? What was education like?
•  What kind of clothing did they wear?
•  What was the role of animals? (pets, food, entertainment, sacrifice, etc.)
•  What was sanitation like?

Religion

•  What were their religious beliefs?
•  How did they worship?
•  Did they really believe in their gods?
•  How did they handle contradictory religious beliefs?
•  What were their mythological beliefs?

Technology

•  What methods of transportation did they have?
•  How did they build things? What innovations did they have?
•  Which of their structures are still standing? What happened to the structures no longer standing?
