Published articles about the Glastonbury Foreign Language Program:
"20 Best Schools" by Leonard Felson, Hartford Magazine, August 2005
"Glastonbury High is one of the few public high schools east of the river that is always singled out as being in the same league as some of the top-achieving suburban high schools west of Hartford. 'They have a lot of great teachers and parents who really get involved,' says one admissions officer. But it's the school's language program, notes another admissions official, specifically Russian, which makes Glastonbury stand out from other schools. 'It's nationally known,' says an admissions official about the Russian language program, started in the 1950s. This fall Mandarin Chinese will also be offered. 'One reason its Spanish program is so strong is that Glastonbury kids are required to take it starting in first grade,' says an admissions official."
